Building Up The Community's Housing Pathways program was created to help individuals and families move from housing instability to long-term stability and independence.
We recognize that housing challenges often extend beyond the need for shelter. Many individuals face barriers related to employment, mental health, transportation, childcare, financial literacy, and access to community resources. Housing Pathways combines housing support with comprehensive services designed to help participants build a stable foundation for the future.
Our goal is not simply to place individuals into housing. Our goal is to help them remain successfully housed and create a pathway toward long-term self-sufficiency.
Housing Pathways connects participants with housing opportunities and supportive services that address the challenges often associated with housing instability.
Services may include:
Services vary based on participant needs and available funding.
YETS provides emergency and transitional housing support for young adults ages 18-25 experiencing homelessness or housing instability. Participants receive housing assistance, case management, life skills training, workforce development support, financial literacy education, housing navigation, and access to mental health services.
Through YETS, Building Up The Community has gained valuable experience supporting young adults as they work toward stable housing, employment, education, and long-term independence. The program has also helped identify service gaps and emerging needs among specialized youth populations, including pregnant and parenting young adults.
Building Up The Community is developing the Young Families Initiative, a specialized housing and supportive services program designed for pregnant and parenting young adults ages 18-24 experiencing homelessness or housing instability.
The initiative will combine transitional housing with comprehensive family stabilization services, including housing navigation, case management, mental health support, employment assistance, financial literacy, life skills development, transportation assistance, benefits navigation, and connections to childcare, healthcare, legal services, and other community resources.
The goal is to help young families achieve housing stability, economic self-sufficiency, and long-term success for both parent and child.
The Young Families Initiative is currently in development as part of BUTC Housing Pathways. Additional information will be released as program planning, partnerships, and funding opportunities progress.
Every young adult deserves someone who believes in their future until they believe in it themselves.
Housing expansion for youth, families, and other vulnerable populations.
Building Up The Community believes communities need more than temporary solutions. Our long-term vision includes expanding access to transitional, supportive, and community-based housing initiatives that help individuals and families achieve lasting stability.
We are actively exploring partnerships, housing opportunities, and future development projects that align with our mission to create stronger pathways to housing security and self-sufficiency.
Building Up The Community actively participates in the local Coordinated Entry system and utilizes HMIS to support housing services, data collection, reporting, and participant outcomes.
Housing is the foundation. Stability is the goal.
By combining housing support with mental health services, case management, workforce development, financial literacy, and community partnerships, Housing Pathways helps individuals and families address immediate needs while building toward long-term success.
Together, we are creating pathways to housing, stability, and opportunity.
